Ozone layer, situated in the stratosphere about 15 to 30 km above earth's surface, plays the important role of "space suit" that protect us living beings by absorbing harmful ultra violet radiation(UVB)from the sun.
So, Ozone layer destruction is...
Damage or decreases of stratospheric ozone over Earth's Polar Regions during the same period which it being destroyed by CFCs and other substances from the sun.
Factor which causes:
- The primary cause is the presence of chlorine-containing source gases (primarily CFCs and related halocarbons)
- The role of sunlight also explained the reason why the Antartic ozone destoyed is greatest during spring.
Process:
Effect to environment (human, animal, abiotic):
On Human:- Basal and Squamous Cell Carcinomas. The most common forms of skin cancers in human. These caner are relativity mild and rarely fatal, although the treatment of squuamous cell carcinoma, sometimes requires extensive reconstructive surgery
- Maligmant melanoma. Another skin cancer, but not more dangerouse (less dominant)
- Cortical cataracts
- Might be extinction or scarcity of animal species
- A number of economically residing on their roots for retention of nitrogen.
- Cyanobacteria are sensitive to UV light and they would be affected by UV radiation increase.
- Might be global warming in serious condition and will happen more fast, so all of living thing in earth is being destroyed because our nature is broken.
How to Solve the Ozone Layer Destroyed:
- Minimize high altitude aircraft flights (oxygen reduction and water vapor deposition)
- Minimize rocket flights (water vapor deposition)
- Encourage growth of plants that produce oxygen, discourage deforestation
- Decrease / control releases of high temperature steam / moisture to the atmosphere
- Eliminate production and release of known ozone depleting chemicals (such as CFCs and HCFCs) where remotely possible. Subsidize production of safer alternatives where possible.
- Establish controls to assure that new compounds to be used in high volume, are surveyed for effect on ozone.
- Try to use products which are labeled "Ozone-Friendly"
- Ensure technicians repairing your refrigerator or air conditioner recover and recycle the old CFCs so they are not released into the atmosphere.
- Vehicle air conditioning units should regularly be checked for leaks.
- Ask about converting your car to a substitute refrigerant if the a/c system needs major repair
- Help start a refrigerant recovery and recycling program in your area if none already exists.
- Replace halon fire extinguishers with alternatives (e.g. carbon dioxide or foam).
- Suggest school activities to increase awareness of the problem and to initiate local action.

Reduce or even avoid the use of chemical gas that can damage the ozone layer in the atmosphere of freon gas used for cooling the air conditioner and refrigerator and used in many cosmetics products, is a gas that can bersenyawa with ozone gas, thus resulting in shrinking of the ozone layer. The ozone layer is a layer in the atmosphere which acts as a filter for the earth, because it can reflect back into space ultraviolet light emitted by the sun. Excessive ultraviolet rays damage the skin tissue and cause increased air temperature. Global warming occurs in them because of ozone depletion in the atmosphere.

This article is good, I just wanted to add a few ideas from me.
Ozone is the result of reaction between O2 and UV from the sun. Ozone serves to withstand UV radiation from the sun at a safe level for our health. Ozone is produced by humans for use as purifying water, bleach, and one of the elements forming tropospheric plastik.Ozon formed from chemical reactions caused by pollution gases result of human activity, so harmful to the system in the stratosphere life.Ozon this naturally occurring layer known as ozone, and very useful for living systems. The ozone layer began to get attention when scientists found a hole in the layer is ozon.Hole of the result of solar radiation that emits ultra high. Radiation was split into O2 at the same time releasing free atoms of which half tied with other O2 molecules to form ozone.
The ozone layer is divided into two namely UV-A and UV-B. The ozone layer protects the earth from UV-B rays are very harmful to living beings on the world's face.UV-B can cause skin cancer, cataracts, and can reduce immune body system .Beside that, UV-B can damage plants, celled organisms one and the aquatic ecosystem. While UV-A is very beneficial for the survival of living things on the earth's surface. The layer also very important because ozone absorbs UV radiation from the sun to protect the high radiation to the surface of the earth. So before UV-B into the earth's surface, the ozone layer protects the earth from the effects of radiation that can damage lives. At stratospheric ozone can give the effect on atmospheric temperature which determines the temperature of the world.
Based on this research scientists, who increasingly thinning of the ozone layer caused by CFCs and green house effects. Where CFC is a gas which could lead to depletion of the ozone layer. For example in the refrigerator, hairspray, air conditioning, etc. Other damage the ozone layer ozone also by material (ODS) which are emitted from various activities, whether in use or manufacture of goods containing ODS.
Depletion of the ozone layer causing more violet rays entering the earth's radiation. This ultra-violet radiation can create effects on human health, destroy marine life, ecosystems, reduce agricultural output and forest.Beside that, affect plankton, which will result in the marine food chain and increase of CO2 due to reduced plant and plankton.
Activities that can be done to keep the ozone layer, including ozone-friendly activities, use goods of non-CFC, 4R principle, and some other solutions that have been described above.

My opinion
I think this article its good, but i hope young people like us should be able to protect the earth,
we have hurt the earth without us knowing it
and the "BEST SOLUTION"
we must be aware and "intropection self" to keep the earth
Hmm, ozone Layer destruction, sometimes i think how longer the ozone layer ca afford this. Ozone repairing process will take very long time, besides the "bad ozone" increasing daily. considering our daily usage of industry products can depleting the ozone layer. so.... let's use our cosmetics, paper, etc... wisely, and for the smokers, reduce your smoke. at least just use one cigarette per day, maybe when you not in front of people.
it's a good article. ozone destruction makes many problem for our life. in a long time , it can destroyes the earth. Now , we can survive the earth and decrease ozone layer destruction.
